Technical Project Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex, multi-disciplinary development programs and contribute to Israel’s cutting-edge government technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of technical programs across development stages: requirements, architecture, design, implementation, integration, verification/validation, and delivery.
- Lead cross-functional execution across Software, Firmware, RF, Hardware, and Mechanical development, including interfaces, dependencies, and integration planning.
- Build and maintain program plans (WBS/Gantt), milestones, budgets, resources, and delivery forecasts; track progress and drive corrective actions.
- Manage system-level risks (technical, schedule, supply chain, production readiness), define mitigation plans, and proactively escalate when needed.
- Drive engineering and operation execution and reviews: requirements reviews, design reviews, integration readiness, test readiness, and acceptance milestones.
- Track performance from proposal stage through delivery: planned vs. actual, earned value/metrics, burn-downs, and KPI reporting.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders (R&D, Ops, Customer Support, Finance, vendors, subcontractors, and customer technical teams).
- Support configuration/change management processes (ECO/ECN), documentation, and technical deliverables for governmental customers.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s/Master degree in Engineering / Industrial Engineering – mandatory (PMP advantage).
- 7–15 years of experience as Technical PM / Program Manger / Project Planner in R&D / product development – mandatory.
- Strong understanding of development lifecycles and gating for multi-disciplinary systems: SW/FW/HW/RF/Mechanics and integration/testing flows.
- Proven experience in schedule management (Gantt), budget tracking, risk management, and metrics (including earned value) – mandatory.
- Ability to manage interfaces and dependencies between engineering disciplines, including test and integration planning.
- Proficiency in MS Office (strong Excel skills) – mandatory.
- Experience with MS Project / Smartsheet / Jira – advantage.
- Experience with SAP (PS module) – advantage.
- Familiarity with governmental / defence / regulated project environments – advantage.
